The Role of Exchange Transaction Center on Sanctions Impacts Management in Import Sector
The sanction against Iran in 2010-2012 intensified, oil exchange revenue collapsed and services to import sector stopped and Central Bank of Iran sanctioned. So, the exchange rate fluctuation was an important result of those sanctions. In that period, Exchange Transaction Center and allocating exchange at ten priority system were the most important public policy of the government to deal with sanctions. The role of Exchange Transaction Center on sanctions impacts management in import sector is the main goal of the paper. The results show The Center had a positive effects on sanctions impacts management but delay in setup of Exchange Transaction Center, failure of the oil ministry’s companies and National Development Fund to supply exchange, the lack of identification criteria in the same condition, interrupting the supply of famous exchange, difficulties of scheduling in the process of receiving the exchange, lack of currency transfer system at the Center and no mechanism for price discovery were the most important difficulties facing the import sector.
