The Consequences of Transatlantic Free Trade Agreement on Iran’s Exports to EU
The European Union and the United States on both sides of the Atlantic are seeking free trade agreement. The purpose of this Agreement is to resolve economic problems and to reduce the unemployment rate. Iran is one of the EU's trading partners, hence it will be affected by this FTA. This paper estimates the effects. The results show that the static trade diversion effect will be 2.4 million Dollars. The list of goods threatened is also presented.
