Key elements of promotion of industrial performance in developing Countries: An Analysis of industrial policy document in Turkey
The history of formulating a specific industrial policy document in Turkey dates back to more than a decade ago in 2003. At that time, Turkey sought to formulate a set of integrated industrial policies aimed at joining the European Union (EU). The document entitled "Industrial Policy for Turkey (towards EU membership)" was put into effect from 2003 to 2011, that is, until the implementation of its second edition. The study of the Turkish economy at that time (2003) reflects the fact that the country had an inflationary economy with an unemployment rate of 10.3 percent, and that with an annual per capita income of $ 4,584, the country stood among middle-income countries.
