Price changes in the industry, mining and trade sectors in 2015
The producer and consumer price indices are among the most relevant elements used for determination of the performance of the industrial sector. This report examines changes in these indicators, as well as the export price index for commodities in 2015, considering the share that industrial activities have in changing these indicators. The study shows that in 2015, due to the negative growth of the industrial producer price index and the significant share of the services sector in the growth of this index, as well as the greater share of the services compared to goods in the consumer price index, the growth of prices in the service sector was the effective factor in these changes. Also, due to lower prices of oil and base metals, the export price index for goods has also decreased.
